Create Greeting Cards for Any Occasion Using Greeting Card Studio

Greeting Card Studio is a program that you can create greeting cards in. You can create Valentine Cards, Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, and more. You can select the size card that you want to create. There are also poems available that you can use to put on your greeting cards. In this tutorial I will show you how to use Greeting Card Studio.

First, you will need to open your program by going through your start menu or double clicking the shortcut on the desktop. When your program opens, you will need to click the New Project link on the right side of your window. The New Project window will open and you will need to select the size card that you are creating. Drop the Preset box down and select the size that you want. Then select the view that you want, portrait or landscape. Click the Create Project button.

Next, you will need to select your card background. You can use a solid color background, a premade card in the program, or an image of your own. For this tutorial we will use a premade card.

Tick the Card field and click the Select Ready Card button. When the window opens, you will see the different cards that are available. Click the card that you want to use and tick the Fit to Ratio field at the bottom. Then click the OK button. Your card will open in the main window.

Your card may shrink so change the view back to 100%. The view is located on the right of your program. Now you can add text to your card. To add your own text, click the T icon at the top of the window. A text window will open and you can type your text in that box. You can change the font options in this window.

To insert a poem, click the Greetings tab. Then you will see the different greetings that are available. You can drop the Subject box down and select the subject. Then you will see the different greetings for that subject. Highlight the greeting that you want to use and click the Copy button at the top of the box. That will automatically paste it in your text field. Click the OK button to insert it.

Now you can add clipart to your card if you want too. Click the Clipart tab. In this section you will see the different clipart that is available. Click a clipart to select it and then click the Add This Image button. That will place the clipart on the card. You can move it by dragging it with your mouse. You can shrink it down by dragging the corner inward.

Now you are ready to print or email your card. To send it by email you will need to export the card. File gt; Export gt; and select the format. I would go with jpeg. Then type a name for your card. Go to your email and insert the card as an image or attachment. To print the card click File gt; Print.

You can do many more things in the Greeting Card Studio program like adding frames, using gradients, and solid backgrounds. This is just a basic tutorial to get you started using this program. Here is a tip. Every time you do something to your card, you will need to scale the image back to 100%. For some reason the image scale constantly goes up and down when you are creating a card.

Photoshop Tutorial: How to Create Amazing High Contrast Images

In this tutorial of mine, you will learn how to convert or change a normal colored and contrasted photo to a high contrast. You can basically use any type of image or photo for this tutorial: landscapes, portraits, sport captures, etc. Almost any photo is suitable to practice on. Also don’t be afraid to try black and white, colored, or monotoned photos. Each will produce a unique and different effect on your photo.

What you might not know is that this technique is used in art photography, advertisements, editorial photography, and any other photography that you can think of. Amazingly, many professional photo editors will be using the same program you do: Adobe Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop is a digital image editing program that can be used on both PCs and Macs. If you do not already have a version of Photoshop downloaded on your computer, you can buy the program at (although the price is steep) and even try out the Adobe Photoshop CS6 extended beta (the newest Photoshop version). The try out is free and lasts 30 days, but make sure you have sufficient space on your hard drive for the program.

Now to start the tutorial, you will need to open up a picture on a new canvas. Remember you can use any type of image. If you want to make it black and white before you begin editing the photo, go to Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate.

Next, duplicate the layer by pressing CRTL+J (as the hotkey) or by going to Layer -> Duplicate Layer.

Then, open channel mixer (Image -> Adjustment -> Channel Mixer) and apply these values (if you made your image black and white first, you can skip this step completely and move on to the next):

Output Channel: Grey. Red: +100%. Green: 0%. Blue: 48%.

Now, press CTRL+U or go to Image -> Adjustment -> Hue/Saturation to open Hue and Saturation dialog and selector menu and give these specific values:

  • Hue: 100
  • Saturation: 100
  • Lightness: 0

The image after this step should be a neon green color.

Finally, duplicate the base layer and move it to top of the layer palette. Change its blending mode to Linear Light. If you want to, you can again duplicate the top layer.

That’s it. Then you are done and you should have a funky, new, high contrast photo that can be used for anything. Make sure that if you’re going to print it out, it is 300 or higher DPI.

Installing the Viper Guestbook on Your Website

The Viper Guestbook is a new guestbook that is offered through your Control Panel. With this guestbook you have many options. You can add your own drop down boxes and your own input fields. You can also control your own rating system. The guestbook has a bad word filter. So you can decide what words can’t be used on your guestbook. Also BB Codes can be used. There are many more features on this guestbook. I think you will be pleased with it. So let’s begin the installation.

Follow the instructions below to install the Viper Guestbook.

Login to the c-panel of the website that you wish to install the Viper Guestbook on. Once you are logged in, look for the link that says Fantastico. Click on that link. The next page will have a lot of links down the left side. Scroll down the page until you find the Viper Guestbook and click on that link. Now you will see a brief description about the guestbook. Under that you will see a link that says New Installation and it will tell you how much space is required. Then right under that you will see how much space you have available. Make sure you have enough space available before you start the installation.

To begin the installation, click on the New Installation link. The next page will be the Viper Guestbook End-User License Agreement. Read through the agreement and then check the box underneath the agreement. Now click on the Continue button.

The next page is very important. This is where you will choose where to put the guestbook, your password, and the language you prefer. I will walk you through each step of this page.

Installation Location

Install on Domain – Choose the domain that you want to install the Viper Guestbook on. You will have more than one option if you have sub-domains on this server.

Install in Directory – You more than likely don’t want to install the guestbook on the front page. So type in a name for the guestbook so that you can put it in a sub-directory. Which means that it will create a new page for the guestbook. You could use the name guestbook for example. So to access the guestbook, you would type in . This is just an example. You can name it whatever you like.

Admin Access Data

Password – Type in the password that you wish to use when you login to the admin panel of the guestbook.

Base Configuration

Admin Email – Type in your email in this field.

Preferred Language – Drop down the box and select which language you prefer to use.
Now click the Install Viper Guestbook.

The next page will tell you that you have chosen to install the guestbook on so and so domain and in so and so directory. And then it will give you the access URL to the guestbook. Click the Finish Installation button.

The next page will tell you that you have successfully installed the Viper Guestbook. This page will give you your password, your admin url, and the url to access the guestbook. Save this page or print it for your records. You can also choose to have this information emailed to you. Simply type your email in the field and click the Send Email button.

Now you are ready to configure your guestbook on your website to suit your taste.

How Do I Remove Fonts from Windows

If you have unwanted fonts or dingbats in Windows, you can quickly remove them. Fonts and dingbats take up little space, but if you have a ton of them installed and can never find what you are looking for, you may want to remove the ones you just don’t use. Removing fonts from your computer will not hurt anything. This tutorial will show you how to locate the fonts you want to get rid of and remove them from your system.

Finding the Fonts You Want to Remove

First things first, you’ll need to find the fonts you want to remove. The best way to find fonts you want to remove is by opening your word processor. This way, you can open the fonts box and find the names of the fonts you want to delete. When you open the fonts box, you will see the name of the font and what it looks like. That will let you easily find the font you want to remove. So, open a word processor and minimize it to your taskbar. We will come back to that in a few minutes.

Locating Your Fonts Folder

Now you will need to open your fonts folder inside of your Windows folder. Go to My Computer and double click it to open it. Once it is opened, look for your local hard drive and double click it. Inside of your local hard drive, you will need to double click the Windows folder. In the Windows folder, double click the Fonts folder. This is where you will remove your fonts.

In the fonts folder, you will probably see small icons that may not show all of the name. You can change the view of the fonts to make it easier. To do this, click the View menu at the top of the window. Change the view to List. Now you should be able to see all of your fonts and the names of them. Minimize this window and open your word processor again.

Removing the Fonts

Look in your word processor and find the fonts and dingbats you want to remove. Then go back to your Fonts folder and find those same fonts and dingbats. Click one and press the Delete key on your keyboard. You will be asked if you really want to delete it. Confirm this step and it will be removed.

If you want to select more than one font or dingbat at a time, you can hold the CTRL key down while you are clicking the fonts. Then press the Delete key and confirm you want to remove all of the items selected.

You may have to keep going back to find the names of the fonts you want to remove. When you are finished, you can close your font folder and close your word processor.

Help with Creating and Saving a New Document in Adobe Fireworks

The first thing to learn when using Fireworks is how to create and save a new document. This tutorial will walk you through the steps of creating and saving a new document in Fireworks. This tutorial will work with any version of Fireworks.


Let’s start off by creating a new document to work on. Open your Fireworks program. An interface will pop up, select New Document on the interface. The New Document properties box will open. In this box you will need to enter the height and width of the new document. Then select the document color. You have three options with the document color. You can use a white background, transparent background, or a color background. Tick the option of your choice. To use a color, tick the color field and click the color box. Click the color of your choice and the box will close. Click OK on the box to create the new document.

To create another new document, go to the top of Fireworks and click File -> New. The new document properties box will open and you can create the document. You can also press CTRL N on your keyboard to create a new document. CTRL N is the keyboard shortcut for creating a new document in Fireworks.


To save a document, go to the top of Fireworks and click File -> Save As. When the Save As box opens, enter a name for your document and click the Save button. This will save your document as a Fireworks file. To save a document while you are working on it, click File -> Save As. You can also press CTRL S on your keyboard to save your work as you are working. To save the document as a jpeg or gif, see the steps below.


You will need to export the document if you want to save it as a jpeg or gif file. To export the document, go to the top of Fireworks and click File -> Export Preview. When the box opens, drop down the Format box and select the format of your choice. Then click the Export button. Another box will open and you will need to type a name if the bottom field for you document. Then click the Save button. That will save your document as the format that you chose.

Working with Themes in Microsoft Word

Did you know that there are ready made themes that you can use in Microsoft Word? These themes have headers, bullets, dividers, and more. It is fairly easy to use a theme to create fancy documents and emails in Microsoft Word.

In this tutorial I will show you how to add a theme and how to work with the themes in Microsoft Word.

  • Open your program and create a new document to use.
  • Click Format -> Theme at the top of your window. The Theme box will pop up.
  • On the left hand side of the box you will see the different themes. On the right hand side of the box you will see the preview of the theme you clicked on.
  • Go through the themes and pick the one that you like.
  • Once you have selected the one that you want to use, click the OK button.

Now you will see the background of that theme on your document. Since you haven’t typed anything on your new document, you won’t see any of the other stuff that was on the theme. Now you can type your page as you want it. Then you can go back and fancy it up with the stuff that the theme offers. You can insert horizontal lines. You can insert tables, headers, links, bullets, and graphics.

To add the things that go with this theme you will need to use the Formatting box at the top of your window. If you type a link, click the formatting box to drop it down and click Hyperlink. Drop the box down and select Table if you want to insert a table in your document. You will also see the different headings that the theme offers. To add the bullets, highlight the stuff that you want to add the bullets to, then click the bullet icon at the top of your Microsoft Window.

To insert a horizontal line you will need to do the following. Click Format -> Borders and Shading. A window will pop up. At the bottom of that window you will see a Horizontal Line button. Click that button and that will bring the Horizontal Lines up. Click the line that you want to use and then click the OK button. That will insert your horizontal line into your document.

Make sure that you save your work often so that you don’t lose anything that you have created. There are many themes that you can use. Play around with them to get the theme the way that you want it.
